Winemaking: Organic Riesling grapes were grown on granite soils before being hand harvested. Direct press and fermentation in stainless steel with indigenous yeast. No filtration, fining or added sulphur.

This Wine: Natural, hazy Riesling. Yann believes the granite soils can give the best complexity for his Rieslings with longageing potential. This is great to drink by itself or with food. You can expect green apple, lemon and floral flavours with a mineral edge. Everything has come together so well after a few years in the cellar.

Notes on the Winemaker: The Durrmann family make wine in the village of Andlau on the slopes of Vosges mountains in Alsace. The vineyards have been organic since 1998 and sulphur free cuvees have been produced since 2007 after Yann (the son) took over running the winery.
