Winemaking: Organic Chenin Blanc grapes from old vines were harvested by hand. Direct press and fermentation with indigenous yeast. Aged for 1 year in old barrels before being bottled with no fining, filtration or added sulphur. 

This Wine: Natural white wine with a medium to full body. All the depth and complexity you would expect from a wine made with Chenin Blanc grapes that come from 80 year old vines! Concentrated white peach, lemon and lime fruit with a profound mineral strike on the palate and a touch of smokey flint. A special wine that deserves to be paired with food.   

Notes on the Winemaker: 

Renaud Guettier is the man behind La Grapperie, located in Loire village of Bueil-de-Touraine. There he farms 5 hectares of old vines and produces intense and elegant wines that are always aged in old barrels.
