Winemaking: Organic Chenin Blanc grapes from a single plot were hand harvested and underwent fermentation with indigenous yeast. No filtration, fining or added sulphur.  

This Wine:  Very serious Chenin from a single plot. Rich and round balanced with great acidity. Arguably Kenji & Mai's top cuvée and most age-worthy. More on the savoury side with a strong mineral character. Best served with food. 

Notes on the Winemaker: Mai & Kenji Hodgson work 4 hectares of vines in Rablay-Sur-Layon. They met in Vancouver before studying winemaking in Japan, eventually settling in this area of the Loire valley. Their wines are impeccably made without any additions yet this is even more potential over the coming years.
