Winemaking: Organic red grapes from vines situated at 470m above sea level were harvested by hand and de-stemmed. 10 days on the skins and fermentation with indigenous yeast in fibreglass tanks. Aged in a combination of old barrels and glass demijohn for 6 months. No filtration, fining or added sulphur.

This Wine: Natural red with with a light to medium body made from some of the classic grape varieties of Valpolicella. Fresh and fragrant with a complexity of floral notes, fresh red fruit and delicate, peppery spice. Beautiful balance. A wine that gets us excited for the future of Belloca!

Notes on the Winemaker: Belloca is the winemaking project of Alessandro Milan & Francesca Carrettoni who farms in the eastern part of the Veneto. The couple met whilst working together in another vineyard in the region before deciding to plat their own vines in 2021. Now they produce honest and characterful wines through organic and biodynamic processes whilst adding nothing in the cellar.
