Winemaking: Organic Pinot Noir grapes were harvested by hand. Semi-carbonic maceration and fermentation with indigenous yeast. Aged in old wooden barrels. Bottled with no fining, filtration or added sulphur.

This Wine: Natural red wine with a light to medium body. Beautiful layers of complexity with notes of dark fruit, earth, spice, smoke and herbs. Perfectly balanced acidity. Punches above its price point and shows how Pinot Noir can shine in this part of the Loire Valley. Best served with food.

Notes on the Winemaker: Thierry Puzelat is a local legend in his region of Touraine in the Loire Valley and his domain Clos du Tue-Boeuf has been organic since 1996. His daughters Zoe and Louise are now taking over the reigns. The blend of grapes in each cuvée often differs year to year as do the wines themselves and that's just how we like it.
