Winemaking: Organic Riesling grapes were grown on sandstone soils before being hand harvested. Direct press and fermentation in stainless steel with indigenous yeast. No filtration, fining or added sulphur.

This Wine: Natural, hazy Riesling with a beautifully intense, tropical fruit explosion on the palate. Nicely balanced with a strong mineral edge. We saved a case in the cellar after Yann told us all his wines are drunk too young. He might just be right!

Notes on the Winemaker: The Durrmann family make wine in the village of Andlau on the slopes of Vosges mountains in Alsace. The vineyards have been organic since 1998 and sulphur free cuvees have been produced since 2007 after Yann (the son) took over running the winery.
