This Wine: The first vintage from Peltier Ravineau! This is a serious and sophisticated Sauvignon Blanc made from their ripest grapes. You might expect a tidal wave of tropical fruit but this is more refined with a strong mineral character alongside peach and lemon notes. Lovely complexity that deserves to be paired with food.
Notes on the Winemaker: Arthur Peltier and Achille Ravineau are young winemakers situated close to Cheverny in Touraine. This is a natural wine hot spot in the Loire that was put on the map by the likes of and Hervé Villemade, both of which provided training and guidance to Arthur and Achille. Now they are making affordable, expressive wines with a focus on local grape varieties including the rare Menu Pineau. One to watch!
