Winemaking: Organic Vespaiola grapes were harvested by hand. A few days on the skins and fermented with indigenous yeast. Must from the grapes was then used to kickstart a second fermentation and the wine was bottled at that moment. No filtration, fining or added sulphur.

This Wine: Natural sparkling orange wine made in the Pet Nat style. An abundance of Mandarin fruit hits your palate first followed by lemony and herbal notes. A subtle hint of smoke gives further complexity before a saline, refreshing finish. Not your average Pet Nat!

Notes on the Winemaker: Marco Turco is a young winemaker in Breganze, Veneto. This area is famous for a sweet wine made from the Vespaiola grape but Marco is moving things in a different direction with his skin contact and dry "Vespasi" wine. We are excited to see what he does next.
